Question: Have you ever met a famous or legendary person?  Were you at all surprised to find out how normal they were, or did they remain aloof and distant?

Question: Do you think it’s important that Jesus was a real human, and not just appearing like one?  Why?

And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:39-52 ESV)

Question: What do you think it meant for Mary to treasure these things in her heart?  What else do you think she might have seen or heard that reminded her of Jesus’ true identity?

Challenge: What part of your human experience right now are you most thankful the God of the universe has seen and intervened in firsthand?
