Our disappointment with God is usually just disappointment with our own inadequate images of God. Although he wasn’t what they expected, Jesus WAS about to do something far, far better than the crowds knew. He was showing them as he rode in on a humble donkey, not a stallion. He was going to change the world as a victim of violence rather than perpetrator.
