The busy lifestyle can be brutal for parents, especially with children who are becoming independent.  This course has great practical help for parents of children age 11 and up.

If you’re parenting with a partner, ask them to watch or listen to the same content as you, so you can discuss the question when you’re back in one place.

This course is also great in groups – start by checking it out alone, but then invite someone else or a couple to join  you.  When you’ve been meeting in a group for a little while, register your group here.

Day 9 - Home - A Place to Learn Good Relationships

Parenting Teenagers

Home is a place where teenagers learn how to build healthy relationships.

• Teenagers learn to relate through observing adult relationships • If parenting together, invest in your relationship (take our marriage course!) • If parenting on your own, build the best relationship you can with the other parent, when possible • Nurture other adult friendships • Mealtimes together – teenagers learn to talk, listen, debate issues, and respect others’ views • Regular family time – having fun together ias a family helps build relationships between parents and children and between siblings (consider having a weekly “family night”)

How can you intentionally model healthy relationships with others in your life, for your teenager to learn from?

      Hi Ryan,
Unfortunately, I’ve missed a few days. However, now I’m back.
Mind you, I am now being technically challenged.
I’m in Parenting Teens and can not get any clip up except for the first one. I want the sixth one.
I’ve tried clicking on various different ones with no luck.
      Please help.

Glad to have you back on track! The clips are working, so perhaps you ran into a temporary glitch. Do try again and let me know what happens.
